With the warm weather coming soon and A/C breakdowns likely to happen, I can recommend the work of Stuart Rose Heating & Air Conditioning. The company was first recommended to me in 1984 by my father, an architect of commercial buildings. I have never been disappointed in their work and, because they're so good, I've only needed them twice for major issues over the 40 years I've lived in my home. They are honest and reasonable; they hire people who know what they're doing (like Dan and Chet, the two who came today to fix something minor that was on warranty).

Our house was in need of a whole HVAC system upgrade, including new attic ducting, two new air conditioners, and two furnaces. We had three companies come and give us quotes since it was such a big job. Jake was honest and knowledgeable about the different systems, and he didn't give off a shady salesman vibe - he just knows the equipment and what he's talking about. He reviewed different options for our home and his recommendations, but never in a pushy way at all. We were originally quoted five days to get the whole job done, but the team was done in three! These installation guys were hard working and obviously great at their job, but also polite and professional. They cleaned up our home to the best of their ability before leaving every day, which we appreciated. We know we made the right choice for our home.

Rolando Olague was great! He worked efficiently yet took the time to do it right. It was his first time at our building and he made a point of learning the location of everything pertaining to the HVAC system inside the building and outside. He was friendly, patient and answered my questions, cleaned everything up afterward.

Came Up With a Brilliant Custom Solution

The entire team at Stuart Rose solved a challenging AC problem for me, creatively, happily and less expensively than the competitive bids I received. I own an Eichler home and wanted to preserve the original architectural intention of the interior and exterior, a post and beam masterpiece with no attic space for venting, but needed to cool the house which has tons of gorgeous mid-century glass throughout, so the solar gain is significant. Special shout-out to Tracy, the estimator, who listened to my concerns and came up with a mini-split solution, and to the installers, especially Doug and Memo, who not only installed it perfectly but came up with a brilliant custom solution to help vent my portable units through the walls of the four bedrooms to avoid the sloppy look of windown venting. They went over and above the job requirements! I recommend them to everyone, but especially to homeowners who have special architctural and design preservation concerns, and who care deeply about doing things right. Linda in the office was also very flexible and accommodating and made the entire process very enjoyable. Thank you, Stuart Rose!

Will Use Them Again

Our A/C went out on one of the hottest days of the year. We were lucky to have Hector come out with same day service. He repaired the A/C in a short time and the charge was reasonable. I'd recommend this service and we will use them again.

Stuart Rose Heating and Air has helped me for more than 12 years servicing and maintaining my heating and cooling equipment. I manage multiple private residences and when there is a problem they show up every time. Their customer service representative's, Hillary, is always friendly and helpful scheduling our appointments and Linda will call the day before to confirm whether it's routine maintenance or an installation. We've had several service technicians, Mike, Mark and Sergio. They are always professional, courteous, on time, prepared and eager to solve the issue's, or to do yearly scheduled maintenance. The Only One We Trust for Our HVAC Needs

Bo and his entire team were just amazing. We've worked with Stuart Rose for over a decade and they never disappoint. He managed to secure a hard to find unit, put together a crew and even a crane in less than a week. It was a really tough job given the furnace is located underneath our house and the removal and replacement of the AC unit required a crane be brought in. But the crew couldn't have be lovelier and they got the job done in record time. Bo and Stuart Rose is the only one we trust for our HVAC needs.

A Loyal Customer..for Almost Two Decades

My family has been a loyal customer of Stuart Rose Heating & Air for almost two decades. I highly recommend Stuart Rose not only for install needs, but for breakdowns too. Hector, who I think is the new manager, is knowledgable and helpful. Their technician Jake knows his stuff and is always trying to save US money (who would've thought a company tries to save the customer money!). They have always been fair and told us when our parts can last a little longer or when it's time to ditch them.

Now that I'm in my own house, I knew exactly who to call when it was time to replace my entire HVAC system. Since I'm a new homeowner (and on a budget), I still did due diligence and got several quotes from other local companies in Ventura County. Stuart Rose was by far the most affordable and even though it was getting to be summer and probably one of their busiest times, I had my installation scheduled within 3 days of signing my proposal (in late April- early May 2018).

Their guys were on time and professional. I even left them in the house while my husband and I went to work (because who has the time to take work off?). I felt totally safe knowing that my house was in the hands of Stuart Rose employees.

By the time my installation was complete, everything was cleaned better than when they came. You wouldn't have even known that we had some pretty major construction done. Our house was locked up as requested and the install was finished on time.

It has been well over a year since our initial install and I've had zero problems. We easily run both our heat and AC more than the average person. Besides our regular maintenance with Stuart Rose we haven't needed them to come back because everything is working perfectly!

I am a commercial/residential property manager, and Stuart Rose & Heating is by far one of the most responsive AC companies I have every had the pleasure to working with. Starting with Hillary who was so on top of our appointments, and explaining tech work, etc- even to getting the right number to call when tech was on their way (trust me, small detail but saves so much time).

Stuart Rose Came to Our Rescue

Stuart Rose came to our rescue in a desperate situation. We were in dire straits after a prior contractor botched the installation of the air conditioning ductwork in our new home. More than 15 failed "adjustments" later, we were exhausted, irate, and suffering through a scorching summer of record heatwaves, without any means to escape. Taking matters into our own hands, we contacted several HVAC specialists, each of which, literally refused to touch what they called a "hack" job. Mercifully, a kind soul recommended Stuart Rose. Bo and his crew were quick to respond. They were professional and compassionate after seeing that we'd been stuck in a sauna for months with young children during COVID quarantine. They came out, diagnosed the problems, and identified viable solutions without having to tear down all our walls again (as was indicated by each of the prior HVAC specialists). Most importantly, they squeezed us into their tight schedule before the next impending heat wave and resolved the problem efficiently when no one else said they could. Doug and Kevin were exceptional technicians. They worked quickly while remaining thoughtful throughout the process and were certainly true experts at their craft. Bo even took the time to personally assure us every step of the way that he would make our situation right. He did that and more! We also want to express our gratitude to Kelly for patiently handling our account. We are now able to survive the quarantine in our home with the comfort of ventilated air that actually works as it's supposed to - all thanks to Stuart Rose. We cannot recommend them highly enough!

Did Not Try to Sell Us Anything We Didn't Need

We contacted the installer to ask questions about the HVAC in the house we purchased. We were visited by their service rep named Shawn. His courteous nature, expert knowledge of HVAC technical information and his willingness to answer any question with a straight forward and honest answer have made us a life time customer of Stuart Rose.

He inspected the unit, found some issues and repaired them, explained the reason prior owners had two thermostats (that do the same thing), provided honest information and did not try to sell us anything we didnt need. He was wonderful and the company treated us fairly.

Remedied On the Spot

In the dead heat of summer, I had Mark out at my father-in-law's house to conduct a repair. He showed up in the time frame quoted, was able to deduce what the problem was, and remedied on the spot. Hillary was the one who scheduled the appointment. She was very kind and polite.

Super happy with our new HVAC system that was designed and installed by Stuart Rose Heating & Air Conditioning. We just finished building our home and our builder highly recommended Stuart Rose. He's built dozens of homes in the Malibu area so we trusted his advice. We have been using Stuart Rose for 28 years now. Beau, the owner installed our air conditioning then and it is still running. He has always done the maintenance on our system until about the last 5 years. Now we ask for his son, Jake and we are still just as happy. They installed a complete new system about six years ago and have been servicing it ever since. We've had absolutely no problems and the service they provide has always been top notch - always on time, always professional and never pushing services that are not needed. When they installed our system, we did check around. They might not have been the cheapest but they were the most professional and in line with other quotes.

Stuart Rose was very fair and made the process of getting AC put in our house very easy and painless. Naturally, we were nervous about the cost and the pain that is associated with adding AC when we had never had it in our house before. We were able to talk with Bo and he eased our minds and made the process very easy and painless! They showed up on time, were very friendly and easy to work with. The two workers they sent out were equally as pleasant and timely. Jake stopped by and inspected the work and made sure everything was being installed properly and safely. The whole thing only took a day and a half to install, they cleaned up and vacuumed everything and made the new equipment very aesthetically pleasing. Jake suggested the AC unit and thermostat we put in and we couldn't be happier with it. He is a great knowledge of his business and work and his customer service is top notch. Called Stuart Rose and they were able to come to my place the same day. The owners son, Jake, came out to help fix our heater. He was very knowledgable and was able to fix the problem quickly. He was able to explain exactly what was wrong, and the call was reasonably priced.

They Really Know What They Are Doing

We are not connected to this company in any way. We originally called them to correct problems that another company caused. The air flow in the home instantly became dramatically better. This latest time we called we had to push our appointment. Hillary impressed us as a "can-do" person. She was pleasant, thoughtful and responsible. The day of our latest appointment the company was down two men so a manager and a VP came out to do our job! They were fast, organized, very sharp. These guys are not "paper-pushers" or professional job holders. They really know what they are doing technically. Above and Beyone the Call of Duty

I am writing to express how pleased my wife and i were with the service we just received from Serge. If there was an "above and beyond the call of duty" he went above that. He fixed an ongoing issue we've had with low air flow and probably saved us thousands of dollars had we went the previously recommended route. He made sure that this service call was covered under the warranty of our last install. When I learned there would not be a charge I demanded he take a cash tip...which he refused to take. I can't express how refreshing this experience was. We are normally very pleased with the technicians at Stuart Rose but Serge was in a different stratosphere. Best HVAC Company in Our Area

The best hvac company in our area. We have an old heat pump and the a/c went out. They came over and said the we need a new part, but was able to bypass the board and keep the a/c working in this heat wave. They will return in a week to fix the unit. Stuart Rose installed a new air conditioning system and furnace in our home some years ago. We were very pleased with their work. We have now moved and are in escrow on a new property outside the Stuart Rose service area. When an issue came up regarding A/C during the home inspection, I called Stuart Rose for information and advice. We have been using Stuart Rose for over 12 years, after three years we decided to start their Annual Maintenance Service it is economical. Hilary often arranges and reminds me of my upcoming maintanance scheduling, she is very helpful, proficient and polite. Stuart Rose HVAC is an honest and punctual service. Jake is on repeat scheduled maintenance he is ultra efficient,conscientious and clean and always on point every time he comes to inspect and maintain our two units, we are grateful to have such an honest and knowledgable technician service our HVAC equipment. Stuart Rose has a handful of skilled technicians so it helps to plan ahead and schedule ahead. As for urgent needs on demand; they have never failed to provide service and they do their best to meet our needs. Jake goes above and beyond he is an outstanding Technician and he really knows his business. Kudos to the women of Stuart Rose from Linda, Amanda, Hilary and those who hold down the dispatch and the billing dept they earned my respect. Local Company That I Know I Can Trust

I truly recommend this company. They came to my home when my air conditioner went out and could have charged me anything (it was over 100 degrees that day) but only charged me a service call to change a fuse. Then my husband had them install an entire A/C system at our business...and the work was good, on-time and fairly priced. A good, old-fashioned local company that I know I can trust.

They Never Try to Oversell Their Services

We have been a customer of Stuart Rose for a number of years. They never try to oversell their services and address the problem at hand. They also have always taken the time to explain what they have done and how the cooling system and thermostats actually work. We are always happy after their visit (nice and cool) and are planning to replace our units in the near future since they are 30 years old. We will be calling Stuart Rose to do the job!

We are beyond satisfied with Stuart Rose's service. Both at our home and at an apartment building. From the initial meeting with Tracy the sales rep who saved us $$ when he recommended retooling our existing condensers (another company had advised us to replace them!) to every service call thereafter, everyone has been prompt, knowledgable and professional. Absolutely Fantastic

Stuart Rose has done work on two homes and are exceptional. They are absolutely fantastic. Full redo on heating system, venting and air filtration system went wonderfully. We do our regular maintenance with them and it is always a pleasure. I will not use anyone else.

Considered My Individual Home and Needs and Recommended Accordingly

I have been using this company for all my heating & AC needs (maintenance, installation, etc.) for over 25 years at several different homes. They are fair, efficient, prompt and do a great job. I just had them replace my AC unit and zone my home into upstairs and downstairs. Their price was lower than the other two companies that I had bid the work, and Stuart Rose completed the work as promised and on time. When I called to get some of the ducting adjusted so it was blowing in certain areas in a certain way, they were out the next day and did the extra (unexpected) work with no up-charges. Bo (the owner) is very accommodating and spent a ton of time with me on the telephone before I decided on my system. He explained all of the options that were possible and helped me to decide what would be best for me. He didn't just try to sell me the most expensive system with all of the bells and whistles....he thoughtfully considered my individual home and needs and recommended accordingly. I cannot recommend this company highly enough for their classy professionalism, excellent work and great customer service!!!

Five Star Company

I have been dealing with Stuart Rose for over 30 years. They are always on time and if they are late they will call. As for as there service I would rate them a five star company. They are very professional and I have never had a problem with service or installation of new equipment. The staff from start to finish is the best.

I have used Stuart Rose a number of times, and been very satisfied with their service. They are polite, efficient, and reasonably priced. We usually receive a four hour window, but only once have they not come within a couple of hours. If they are going to be near the end of the window, they have called.
